The Gulf Insurance Company (GIC) was established in 1962 and is one of Kuwait's leading insurance companies. GIC has its head office in Business District, Kuwait.

GIC offers a range of insurance products, such as marine and aviation, fire insurance, general accident coverage, employee compensation, all-risk insurance for the construction industry, public liability, cash in transit, personal accident, third party and comprehensive motor insurance.

GIC is focused on understanding customer needs and enhancing the services it provides to its customers. In 1999, GIC opened eight new branches with an upgraded Wide Area Network (WAN) between its branches and the head office. It constantly aims to meet the evolving needs of its clientele by launching innovative insurance products, such as, Gulf Assist/DOTW, a travel insurance/assistance policy that provides 24-hour coverage everyday, worldwide.
